So much goes into the planning. Everything from producing the fashion show to getting the vendors lined up. Stay tuned… this January’s show will prove to be the biggest and best yet.

Panel of Brides

Based on the title of this blog post you might assume the bride had a terrible experience but it was quite the opposite.  During the “panel of brides” meeting held last Tuesday  Samantha (pictured in the center) came to tears when asked what her favorite part of the wedding planning had been.

She explained that in the process of looking for her dress the sales lady had treated her like her own daughter.  She had taken the time to make sure Samantha got everything she wanted and was very excited for her.  It just is another reminder that as a wedding vendor myself its easy to look at a bride as just another customer.

It was a reminder to all the vendors of the Midwest Bridal Association to show our customers some excitement, enthusiasm, compassion and genuine interest and in the end we will get more than a sale.

Introducing the Panel of Brides

The Midwest Bridal Association would like to thank all the Brides who participated in the annual “Panel of Brides” on Tuesday evening March 10, 2010.

The meeting was held at the Eagle Hills Golf Club and it was attended by many of the Wedding Vendors in the area.

The Brides on the panel were very helpful in allowing the vendors to ask questions relating to their buying and planning decisions.

As vendors we learned many things including how to work the Bridal Shows better and that using the internet to plan is huge.

Thanks again to all the Brides who helped us out and good luck with your wedding day.

We are in the last few days before the show and things are hopping in the office! Prize donations are coming in daily as well as new gowns for the fashion show and favors for you brides.

And the best news yet: we are going to have a heat wave on Sunday! a BALMY 20* and no snow in the forecast! Yea! Remember, you don’t have to worry about the cold though- VIP limousine will be picking you up in the parking lots and dropping you off at the front door and then after the show is over- taking you back to your cars. And parking is FREE too!

Ellynne Bridal (Lincoln) will be presenting brand new, 2010 gowns from the top bridal fashion designers in the world.  Vera Wang, Pronovias, Watters and Watters, Tara Keely, Jim Hjelm, Essence of Australia, just to name a few.  Lynne Rustad, owner of Ellynne Bridal has just informed me that the new 2010 lines will be arriving just in  in time for our Bridal Showcase event.  So, even if you’ve seen Ellynne’s fashions at a previous show this past fall, you will see brand new gowns on our runway show, set to elegant music, with professional models as well as a platinum wedding setting!

Randall’s Tip Top Tux will be providing the formal wear fashions for our runway.  Randall’s is currently open at Westroads but is opening in Village Pointe and Shadowlake before Christmas.  With three Omaha locations and one in Lincoln, it couldn’t be any easier for the gentlemen in your wedding party to be fitted in the top  formal wear lines in the nation!

Petal Creations will be presenting the floral fashions for our runway show!  Be prepared to be inspired and come away with lots of ideas about your wedding day florals!  It’s all about ‘bling’ this year and Stacy and her design team know how to ‘bling it on’!  Petal Creations will also be doing the table scapes for our VIP seating in the ballroom.

VIP table seating tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, December 30.  There are only 100 VIP tickets available and when they are gone-they are gone!  Your $10 VIP upgrade ticket includes:

•  One half hour early entrance into the Grand Ballroom  
• Your beverages, dinner, and dessert will be served to you (no waiting in long lines)
• Enjoy front row-runway- table seating at beautiful platinum wedding inspired table scapes.
• A complimentary bottle of champage per table

Remember, the VIP service does not include your admission to the Bridal Showcase event.  Purchase you Showcase tickets online in advance and then call or send us an email when VIP tickets go on sale and they will be sent out to you or you can pick them up at the will call table on the day of the show.
